CPT
is an objective type test with negative marking for choosing wrong
options.
The
test is of 200 marks and passing marks are 100.
The
test is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in
between.
Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
A
candidate is eligible for enrolment for IPCC on passing the Common
Proficiency Test (CPT) and 12th
(10+2) Examination.
After
registering for IPCC a candidate has to undergo a self study course of
9 months.
A
candidate has to complete Orientation Programme of 35 Hours and 100
Hours of Information Technology Training (ITT) during the study course
of 9 Months.
After
completing the above, a candidate is eligible to appear for the IPCC
exam.
The
subjects of IPCC are classified into two groups which a student can
study an appear in the examination either group-wise or both the groups
together.
In
order to qualify for Articleship ( 3 years) it is mandatory for a
student to Pass GROUP I of IPCC.

Accounting Technician Course (ATC) – OPTIONAL
A
candidate who does not wish to complete IPCC can opt for the Accounting
Technician Course. Such a candidate can appear in Group I of IPCC which
is also equivalent to the Accounting Technician Examination (ATE) if he
has undergone a study course, inclusive of orientation programme and
100 hours ITT for a period not less than nine months as on the first
day of the month in which the examination is held. After passing
Accounting Technician Examination (ATE), he will also be required to
complete 12 months of work experience, as per the guidelines of the
Council and on production of a certificate to this effect he will be
issued Accounting Technician Certificate by the concerned decentralized
regional office.
CA – Final
After
passing IPCC, register for CA-Final Course.
Collect
study material and study for final examination.
Join
Articleship under a practicing Chartered Accountant and undergo 3 years
of training.
Undergo
General Management and Communication Skills (GMCS) Course during the
period of articled training.
Appear
for Final Examination after completing 2 ½ years of articled training
and complete balance 6 months of training.
Pass
final examination and enroll for membership.
